What began as a simple search for better sun protection on the trails has
become a brand that stands for so much more: visibility, protection,
and pride in showing up exactly as you are.

Who is Sandii?
Hi, I’m Sandii, and Run Ugly started
because I couldn’t find what I needed - so I made it.
Running trails in Central Queensland meant long
hours under a harsh sun and nothing out there offered the protection or personality I wanted.
Everything was dark, heavy, and just not me. I needed something lightweight, breathable, and sun-safe, with a collar for protection and colours that stood out.
So I started designing my own. After loads of
research, trial and error, and sweaty test runs, I created pieces that are as thin as possible while still offering SPF 30 protection - without compromising on style.
That’s how Run Ugly was born. Out of necessity, out of creativity, and out of a desire to make gear that works as hard as you do.
Run Ugly reflects my philosophy: it doesn’t have to look perfect to be powerful. Whether you’re running, hiking, mowing the lawn, or getting through your workday under the sun - you belong here.
